If you've been searching for PCA Skin or EltaMD lately and coming up short, here's the honest answer: both lines have been discontinued in Canada by their distributor. It's a nationwide change affecting spas and clinics across the country, not a decision GLOW made, and not a reflection of how well these products have worked for you.

We wanted to explain it clearly, because these products have been a trusted part of so many of our clients' routines and because we'd rather you hear it from us than piece it together from an empty shelf.

Why this happened with PCA Skin & EltaMD

This is purely a distribution change. The Canadian distributor responsible for bringing both lines into the country has chosen to discontinue them, effective immediately and until further notice. It has nothing to do with product quality, safety, or results — the same formulas many of you have loved simply aren't available to Canadian spas and clinics right now.

What it means for you

If you're on our waitlist for either line, our team will reach out personally with alternatives suited to your skin. If you've prepaid for a product or series that included PCA Skin or EltaMD, we'll contact you directly to walk through your options; an alternative product, a treatment credit, or a refund, whatever works best for you. And if you're simply wondering what to use next, that's exactly the kind of question our aestheticians love to answer.

Finding your next favourite

Here's the part we want you to feel reassured about: choosing the right products for your skin is what we do. Rather than swapping one product for whatever's nearest, we'd rather look at your skin, understand your goals, and recommend something we're genuinely confident in: the same personalized, imaging-led approach we bring to every treatment. A discontinued product is never the end of your glow journey; it's just a chance to refine it.

Have a product you're worried about replacing? Book a complimentary consultation, or simply ask your aesthetician at your next visit — we'll help you find the right next step for your skin.

You've been diligent all year; consistent treatments, a routine you've refined, skin you feel genuinely confident in. Then summer arrives, and something shifts. A little more unevenness. A dullness that wasn't there in May. Congestion that seems to have appeared out of nowhere. You're not imagining it. Summer changes your skin in very real, very specific ways and understanding why is the first step to keeping your glow.

What summer actually does to your skin

Heat accelerates oil production. Even clients who have never considered themselves oily notice an increase in congestion and breakouts in July and August. More sebum means more opportunity for pores to become impacted and for the surface of the skin to lose its refined, even texture.

UV exposure triggers melanin production. This is your skin's natural defence mechanism, but the side effect is pigmentation: sunspots, post-inflammatory marks that linger longer, and an overall unevenness in skin tone. These changes are cumulative. A single beach weekend doesn't cause lasting damage, but a summer of daily exposure — even incidental, through car windows and commutes — absolutely does.

Heat and humidity disrupt your skin barrier. The barrier is the outermost layer of skin responsible for holding moisture in and keeping irritants out. In humid conditions, the skin can feel hydrated on the surface while losing its ability to regulate itself effectively beneath. The result: sensitivity, reactivity, and a complexion that looks tired even when you're not. The SPF conversation, every time

If there is one thing our team returns to in every summer consultation, it's this: SPF is not optional. It is the single most effective thing you can do to prevent pigmentation, preserve your skin's texture, and protect the results of every treatment you invest in. SPF 30 minimum, every morning, even on overcast days. Even in the car. Even if you think you won't be outside much.

If you're using exfoliating acids or vitamin C — including the acids in Miracle 10 — daily SPF is non-negotiable. These ingredients increase photosensitivity, which means unprotected sun exposure works directly against the results you're working toward.

What your skin actually needs right now

Summer doesn't mean stepping back from results-driven skincare. It means adapting it. A few adjustments that make a significant difference:

  • Cleanse thoroughly at the end of the day.  Sunscreen, sweat, and increased sebum need to be fully removed, not just rinsed. A 60-second massage with your cleanser is worth it.
  • Keep your routine lighter in texture, not lighter in actives.  Swap heavier moisturisers for a hydrating serum under a lightweight SPF. Your skin still needs support, it just doesn't need weight.
  • Stay consistent with in-clinic treatments.  The right summer facial works with your skin's current state addressing congestion, refreshing tone, and supporting clarity without triggering sensitivity. A consultation helps us confirm which treatments are appropriate for the season.

The glow is still there, it just needs support

Summer skin isn't damaged skin. It's skin that's working harder than usual, responding to more variables, and asking for a little more attention. The good news: with the right home care and the right in-clinic support, the results you've built don't have to slow down for the season.

This July, we're making it easy. Medi 2.0, our advanced, results-driven facial targeting congestion, brightness, and skin clarity is available at our member price for everyone, no membership required. One and a half hours, no downtime, visible results. Book your appointment or start with a complimentary consultation and we'll build a summer skin plan that works for where your skin is right now. ✨

Individual results may vary. Always wear SPF when using products containing exfoliating acids.

We're selective about what earns a place on our shelves at GLOW Beauty Bar. Every product we carry has to meet one standard: science-backed, results-driven, and worthy of your trust. Pavise didn't just meet that standard — it raised it.

This month, we're proud to introduce Pavise to our skincare collection — a biotech skincare line now available exclusively at GLOW Beauty Bar in Etobicoke, Toronto.

two pavise products with awards won above

What Is Pavise?

Pavise is a biotechnology skincare brand powered by DiamondCore® — a patented, diamond-augmented zinc oxide molecule invented by an MIT and Harvard-trained biochemical engineer with roots in cancer drug development. DiamondCore® is clinically proven to be more regenerative than growth factors and Vitamin C, with zero irritation.

Rather than addressing the symptoms of skin aging one by one, Pavise targets the root cause: accumulated cellular damage from UV radiation, pollution, and environmental stress. The clinical results are specific — 198% improvement in fibroblast growth, 91% collagen restoration, 80% elimination of Reactive Oxygen Species, and 5X better UV and visible light defense — all backed by 10+ published studies.

This is not another trending launch. It is the most advanced skincare we have ever carried.

Two Products. One Complete System.

We're introducing two Pavise products that work as a complete AM/PM regenerative system.

Dynamic Age Defense — $280 (GLOW+ Members: $224 throughout May)

Your new morning essential. Dynamic Age Defense is a 4-in-1 AM solution that replaces your antioxidant serum, moisturizer, eye cream, and sunscreen in a single step. Broad Spectrum SPF 30, PA++++, 100% mineral with zero white cast. Five times better UV and visible light defense. One bottle lasts approximately 6–8 weeks.

It's ideal for anyone managing pigmentation, melasma, rosacea, sensitivity to Vitamin C, or anyone who simply wants fewer products and better results. Applied as the last step in your morning routine — two pumps to the full face, neck, and eye area.

Bioadaptive Stress Repair — $320 (GLOW+ Members: $256 throughout May)

A topical biostimulator for your PM routine. Bioadaptive Stress Repair lifts, firms, corrects pigment, and rebuilds your skin barrier from within — with no acids, no retinoids, and no irritation. Visible results in 4 weeks. Think of it as the topical equivalent of an injectable biostimulator, working overnight while you sleep.

Both products are sensitive-skin safe, post-treatment safe, eye-area safe, vegan, cruelty-free, and refillable.

Why GLOW Chose Pavise

At GLOW Beauty Bar, our team holds 20+ certifications in medical aesthetics. We don't add products to our collection unless we've looked at the science ourselves and believe it will genuinely move the needle for our clients' skin health.

Pavise earned its place because nothing else we've seen combines regeneration, reversal, and defense in a single molecule — gently enough for sensitive and post-treatment skin, and backed by published clinical data rather than marketing claims.

We also carry it because it fits the way our clients want to care for their skin: fewer products, more intention, and results you can actually see.

GLOW+ Members: 20% Off Both Products Throughout May

As a thank-you to our GLOW+ community, members enjoy 20% off both Pavise products for the entire month of May. Dynamic Age Defense at $224, Bioadaptive Stress Repair at $256.

One More Update: Jet Peel Is Now Jet Infusion

If you've been curious about our needle-free infusion treatment, you may notice it has a new name. Jet Infusion — formerly known as Jet Peel — now carries a name that says exactly what the treatment does. The technology hasn't changed: subsonic jet-propelled micro-droplets delivering customised serums deep into the dermis, with built-in lymphatic drainage, zero downtime, and results you can see after one session. Just a name that finally does it justice.

Results may vary. Individual outcomes depend on skin type and treatment plan.
